Zamalek have completed the signing of Smouha's defensive midfielder Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz for the next four years, the Cairo giants announced Wednesday.

The 27-year-old, who joined Smouha from Ismaily in January 2017, made 22 appearances with Smouha this season, scoring twice and providing one assist.

Abdel-Aziz is Zamalek's seventh signing in this winter transfer window that will close at midnight 31 January.

Zamalek are looking to strengthen their squad after a frustrating half of season that saw the club lie fifth in the league table with 32 points, 19 points behind leaders Ahly.
