Egyptian side Maqassa will be hoping their African Champions League debut will last longer when they host Senegal's Generation Foot in a do-or-die clash on Wednesday.
Maqassa, who caused an upset by finishing as runners up in the Egyptian Premier League last season, have an uphill to climb to go beyond the preliminary round of the Champions League, having suffered a 2-0 first-leg defeat at Generation Foot.
The loss, which came on the back of a poor run in the domestic league that left them hovering just above the relegation zone, prompted the club to sack coach Emad Soliman and bring in the experienced Talaat Youssef as his successor.
"I just seek to help the players regain their confidence in this period," Youssef told Maqassa's official website after taking charge of the club last Saturday.
"Losing by two goals in the first leg is difficult (to overcome), but it's not impossible."
Youssef will be tasked with tightening a porous defence that has leaked 40 goals in 23 league matches, the second worst defensive record in the competition.
They are also struggling without talisman Hussein El-Shahat, who left the club in the January transfer window to join Emirati club Al-Ain, where he is enjoying a great run of form.
Wednesday's return-leg will take place at Cairo Stadium.
