Zamalek’s stand-in chairman, Galal Ibrahim, is relieved to see the return of Mamduh Abbas to the chairmanship following Mortada Mansour’s decision to drop his legal challenge to the club’s presidential elections.

“Finally, I can go to the club to relax with friends like any other member,” Ibrahim told Ahram Online.

“I am totally satisfied with the board’s decisions whilst I was in charge, especially regarding the administrative and financial obstacles we face. I am relieved now because I don’t have to worry about Zamalek’s conflicts anymore,” Ibrahim added.

Under Ibrahim’s board, appointed by the National Sports Council, the Cairo giants were able to win their third successive handball African championship.
