The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced Tuesday morning that the final of the Egypt Cup tournament will be held on Tuesday 15 May at Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria.

"The Egypt Cup final is scheduled for next Tuesday [15 May]," stated EFA competition committee head Amer Hussein.

Assiouty and Smouha will face off this Tuesday in the semifinal to determine the opponent of Zamalek, who booked their seat in the final by defeating Ismaily 4-1 on Monday.

The White Knights hope to win their 26th Egypt Cup title to rescue their catastrophic season, which saw the club end fourth in the league table and exit the Confederation Cup from the round of 32.

Zamalek archrivals Ahly waved goodbye to the tournament in the quarterfinals after losing to Assiouty 1-0 last week.
