Haras El-Hodoud came back from a goal down to beat Masry 2-1 and open a seven-point lead in El-Max stadium on Monday.

Ahmed Salem Safi, 67, canceled Ibrahim El-Masry’s goal in the 25th minute, before Ahmed Hassan Mekki grabbed the full points of the game in the 75th minute.

Tarek El-Ashri’s men have now collected 25 points, seven ahead of second-placed Ittihad El-Shorta who were held to a scoreless draw by Gouna earlier in the day.

Enppi delivered another fight back to snatch a precious 2-2 draw against Talae El-Gaish. Sayed Abdel-Aal, 37, and Abou Kone, 43, gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at the break. But Adel Mostafa 68, and Ahmed Raouf, 78, struck twice in a quick fire succession to help Enppi share the points of the game.

The Egypt cup winners are in a critical position with only six points out of nine games.

Petrojet have extended their winless streak to seven games after being held by Arab Contractors to a 1-1. Mohamed Salah, 34, canceled Islam Fouad’s early lead in the 11th minute to leave them seeking their first win since their 3-2 victory against Maqassa in the third matchday.
