Egypt's Masry hold Renaissance de Berkane to a goalless draw in Confederation Cup

Egyptian side Masry gained one precious point in Morocco after holding Renaissance de Berkane to a goalless draw in a Confederation Cup group stage game on Wednesday.

In a match with few clear-cut chances, Masry silenced the home crowd with their defensive strategy, preventing the hosts from creating a real threat.  

Masry remained second on the group with five points, two points behind leaders Renaissance de Berkane.

Hossam Hassan men will have the chance to advance into the group B summit if they defeated Renaissance de Berkane in the next round ten days later in Port Said.

 In the same group Al-Hilal of Sudan were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Uniao Desportiva do Songo to keep their third place in the group with two points.

Uniao Desportiva do Songo  lie at the group bottom with a single point.
