Former Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan
Beni Suef Telephones have reached an agreement with former Zamalek tactician Hossasm Hassan to replace coach Hamza El-Gamal, who resigned Saturday.
The 45-year-old former Ahly and Zamalek striker took the job after the club accepted his demand that he brings with him the coaching staff who worked under him at Zamalek, including his twin brother Ibrahim.
El-Gamal resigned on Saturday after club failed to meet his demands.
“The management refused my demands by signing new players when the winter transfer window reopens,” El-Gamal told a television programme.
The Hassan twins, who were sacked by Zamalek at the end of the last season after failing to win anys title for the White Castle, are now tasked with keeping the Upper Egyptian team in the Premier League next season.
Beni Suef Telephones are struggling in 10th place of the 19-team league table with only 12 points.
