Zamalek’s board revealed at a club general assembly on Friday that a total of EGP 212 million has been spent on transfers over the past two years.

Officials distributed a list including all incoming transfers from June 2016 to June 2018, leaving off only one new arrival, Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi, who joined the club in July.

The Cairo giants have hired 26 players over the past two seasons, totalling EGP 212,337,000 (approx. $11.9 million).

Moroccan striker Hamid Ahadad came top of the list, costing EGP 25,116,000 when he came from Difaa Jadidi in June.

Ibrahim Hassan (Ismaily in June 2018), Bahaa Magdi (Ismaily in 2018), Mohamed Antar (Assiouty Sport in January 2018) and Kabongo Kasongo (Ittihad of Alexandria in June 2017), all ranked second, costing EGP 15 million each.

The cheapest player on the list was Karim Raafat, who was hired from second-division side Damanour for EGP 1.2 million in January 2018.
