Shikaballa gets one match-ban after derby misconduct

Shikabala is banned for one game while Ahly and Zamalek are sanctioned for their fans’ misconduct

Zamalek forward Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘ Shikaballa’ has been banned for one game and fined LE 5 000 for raising his shoe  while teasing Ahly’s fans after last Thursday’s Cairo derby.

The White Knights’ talisman will miss his team’s game against El-Intag El-Harby on day 15 of the Egyptian League set to be played on 21 January.

Zamalek football director Ibrahim Hassan has been also banned for one game and fined LE 10 000 for criticizing the Referees’ committee.

Meanwhile Ahly and Zamalek werefined  LE  30 000 and  15 000  respectively for their fans abusive chants.

“Recently the games have been marred by these abusive chants and we gave strict directions for the referees to stop the games in order to apply the regulations and ban the fans,” a statement said on the EFA website.
