ES Setif forward Elhabib Bouguelmouna said on Sunday his side will be eyeing a positive result when they face Ahly in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final in Cairo on Tuesday to make their mission easier in the second leg.
The Algerian side booked a last-four berth after stunning defending champions Wydad de Casablanca 1-0 on aggregate in the quarter finals.
They will be hoping to spring another surprise against record eight-time winners Ahly.
"Our target is to achieve a positive result in Cairo," Bouguelmouna told Algerian newspaper Al-Nahar.
The 29-year-old said Setif are approaching the anticipated game in a positive mood despite a 1-0 loss to JSK in a league game on Thursday which saw them drop to sixth in the table with 11 points, seven behind leaders JSK.
"The team will not be affected by the Algerian league defeat as we are all fully focused on the Champions League clash against Ahly," the Algerian forward concluded.
The second leg will take place in Algeria on 23 October.
