Maqassa's Ghanaian striker John Antwi has become the highest-scoring foreigner in the history of the Egyptian Premier League after netting a hat-trick in a thrilling 4-3 win over Enppi on Sunday.
Antwi took his tally to 63 goals, two clear of compatriot Ernest Papa Arko who played for several Egyptian clubs including Gaish, Smouha and Arab Contractors from 2004 to 2016.
The 26-year-old reached his record tally in 122 matches, scoring 28 goals with Ismaily, three with Ahly and 32 with Maqassa.
Antwi ended a six-match goal drought by scoring a hat-trick against Enppi as Maqassa moved second in the league table with 26 points, three behind leaders Zamalek who have three matches in hand.
