Zamalek midfielder Ahmed El-Merghani has officially been loaned to Egyptian Premier League newcomer, Beni Suef Telephones, on loan until the end of the ongoing season against LE300,000.
“Zamalek officials have agreed to loan El-Merghani to Beni Suef Telephones on a six-month loan deal,” read a statement on Zamalek’s website.
Under the helm of coach Hassan Shehata, Zamalek technical staff gave the green light for the 23-year-old midfielder to wear Beni Suef Telephones’ jersey after signing trio players in his position in the team squad, according to the club’s official website.
The Cairo giants have worked to end their seven-year Egyptian Premier League title drought by adding to their squad during the January transfer window as they boosted their midfield by signing Cameroonian Alexis Mondemo from Tunisia’s Club Africain, ENPPi’s Islam Awad and Nour El-Sayed from Gouna.
Zamalek are third in the 19-team league table with 32 points, one behind arch-rivals Ahly and two adrift of surprise leaders, El-Hodoud.
