Zamalek have landed midfielder Ibrahim Hassan on a six-month loan deal from Libyan side Nojoom El-Mostaqbal
“I'm so happy to wear the white jersey and I'm proud to be signed by coach Hassan Shehata who led Egypt to three successive African Cup of Nations titles,” Hassan was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
Born in 1991, the talented playmaker caught the eye of Shehata during a friendly between Nojoom El-Mostaqbal and Zamalek two and a half months ago.
“I am a big fan of Shikabala [midfielder Mahmud Abdel-Razek] and it really gave me confidence to hear him predicting me a good future,” he added.
The player was warmly welcomed by teammates and board members, including the club’s vice-president Raouf Gasser.
The Cairo-based club is currently third in the Egyptian Premier League table, struggling to end an eight-year title drought.
