Zamalek technical staff, under the leadership of coach Hassan Shehat, demanded that players "please their sad fans" when they meet Tanzanian side Young African in round 64 of the African Champions League.

The White Knights will start a closed training camp to prepare for the continental clash. Star midfielder Mahmoud Abdel-Razik "Shikabala" wasn't named in the camp's squad.

All football activities have been halted in Egypt to mourn the death of at least 70 fans in Egypt's worst sports disaster earlier this February following an Ahly/Masry match in Port Said.

The Squad:

Defenders:Mahmoud Fathalla, Mohamed Abdel-Shafy, Sabry Rahil, Hazem Emam, Ahmed Samir

Midfielders: Omar Gaber, Ahmed Tawfik, Islam Awad, Nour El-Sayed, Ibrahim Salah, Mondomo, Said Mohamed ‘Otta’, Alaa Ali
