Ahly have officially signed Senegalese striker Aliou Badji for four-and-a-half seasons starting from the ongoing winter transfer window coming from Austria's Rapid Vienna, the club announced on Thursday.
"The player will arrive with the club's Marketing and Football Contracts Director Amir Tawfik late on Thursday to undergo medical tests before joining the team's trainings," read a statement on the club's official website.
The Cairo giants will pay €2 million (approximately EGP35 million) to get the services of the talented attacker, according to reports in the Egyptian local media.
Badji participated with the Senegalese national team in the U-20 World Cup 2017 and the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations 2017 where he scored one goal after appearing in five matches. Senegal lost in the final 2-0 against Zambia.
This is Ahly's second deal in the winter transfer market after signing Mahmoud Abdel Moneim 'Kahraba' from Portugal's Aves.
