Zamalek have cancelled plans to hold a training camp in the United Arab Emirates and said Kuwait might be an alternative.
Citing financial differences with the camp’s sponsor, the Cairo giants said they would not go to the UAE to play several friendly games as planned.
Zamalek said on their official website on Friday that they have received an offer from another company to play two friendly matches in Kuwait instead.
The team are preparing for a tough game against Ivory Coast’s Africa Sports in the first-leg of the African Champions League round of 32 on 25 March.
All domestic football activities have been suspended in Egypt following the Port Said disaster which left 74 fans killed and hundreds injured on the first of February.
