Ahly players and technical staff will fly to South Africa late Sunday within preparations for the second leg game against Mamelodi Sundowns in the African Champions League quarterfinals next weekend.

The Cairo giants gained a comfortable first-leg advantage at the expense of Mamelodi Sundowns in the African Champions League quarterfinal Saturday thanks to a double from Tunisian left back Ali Maaloul.

Ahly will now be firm favourites to reach the semifinals as they chase their first crown since winning the last of their record eight Champions League trophies in 2013. The second leg will take place in Pretoria Saturday.
