Ahly management have stepped up their interest in signing Arab Contractors and Egypt Olympic national team forward Taher Mohamed Taher when the summer transfer window reopens.
"Ahly chairman Mahmoud El-Khatib asked to sign Taher permanently or on loan," Arab Contractors boss Mohsen Salah told a television programme late on Wednesday.
"The player welcomes joining Ahly. He hopes to play overseas but he doesn't mind to wear the jersey of league's champions," the Arab Contractors boss added.
The 23-year-old, who joined Le Havre on a season-long loan deal in 2016 season, had to drop out of Egypt's squad for the 2019 U23 Nations Cup after picking-up a muscle injury during the national team's training.
