Ahly's midfield maestro El-Sulaya out action for two weeks with a muscle injury

Ahly's central midfielder Amr El-Sulaya has been confirmed to be out of action for two weeks after suffering a muscle strength during the 2-0 win over Masry in the Egyptian Premier League last week.

The Red Devils' football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz announced on Monday that El-Sulaya needs 10 to 15 days to recover from the injury before returning to action again to take part in the team's preparations for the domestic and continental games.

The 31-year-old in-form international is expected to be fit for Ahly's game against Wydad de Casablanca in the CAF Champions League, which scheduled for 25 September in Morocco.

El-Sulaya will miss Ahly's coming league games against Wadi Degla on Friday and Haras El-Hodoud on Monday due to the injury.

Ahly are in the driving seat of the Egyptian Premier League teams' table with 62 points after playing 23 games so far this season, 17 points ahead of runners-up Pyramids FC.
