Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz revealed that his team is ready for the CAF Champions League semifinal games against Morocco's Wydad, and that the only thing he fears is a lack of success.
The Cairo giants wrapped up their record-extending 42nd Egyptian Premier League title with six rounds left after gaining an unassailable 20-point lead.
Ahly are scheduled to face Wydad next month in an anticipated two-legged clash in the Champions League semi-final.
"All I fear in the CAF Champions League is the lack of success," Abdel-Hafiz told the club's television channel.
"All four teams in the Champions League semifinals share the same level of performance, so we have to concentrate in our games."
Ahly have not won the continent's blue-riband competition since clinching the last of their record eight titles in 2013.
The Red Devils came close to ending their barren run on two occasions, only to lose to Wydad and Tunisia's Esperance in the 2017 and 2018 finals respectively.
