Ahly striker Walid Azaro made his loan move to Ettifaq permanent, with the Saudi club announcing on Friday that they had signed the Moroccan on a two-year deal.
Azaro joined Ettifaq on a short-term loan deal last January, netting three goals in seven Saudi league appearances.
Ahly deemed him surplus to requirements following the end of his loan spell, with Egyptian reports saying he had joined Ettifaq for $700,000.
Azaro impressed in his first two seasons with Ahly after joining in the summer of 2017, finishing as the Egyptian Premier League's top scorer with 18 goals in his first season and setting a record in the process.
He became the highest-scoring foreigner in a single league season but the honeymoon was quickly over, with the 25-year-old coming under fire for wasting many easy chances the following season.
All in all, Azaro scored 41 goals in 89 appearances with Ahly in all competitions, providing 16 assists.
