Ismaily SC’s board has sacked the technical staff headed by Brazilian coach Heron Ferreira after their loss against Gouna 2-1 on Monday.

Ismaily failed to achieve victory in their first three matches in the current season of the Egyptian Premier League; as they tied with Masry and El-Entag El-Harby in the first two rounds before losing to Gouna.

This will be the third time the coastal club has sacked Ferreira, after he led the team in season 2008-2009, where he achieved a great run competing against Ahly for the league title, and returned for the second time in February 2014 until February 2015.

The Brazilian returned to Ismaily on a third spell in September to help the struggling coastal side. However, after a series of unconvincing performances, the three-time Egyptian champions ended 11th on the 18-team table and continue to disappoint in the new campaign.

Ismaily’s board revealed that the new coaching staff will be announced soon.
