Zamalek’s want-away striker Mostafa Mohamed rejoined the team's training on Tuesday after missing several sessions, while leftback Abdallah Gomaa has recovered from a COVID-19 infection, the Cairo giants announced.
The 23-year old Mohamed has been skipping training since Friday amid reports that he seeks to pressure the club into accepting a 3.5 million euro offer to sign him from French side Saint Etienne.
Ayman Younes, the chief executive of Zamalek's football committee, said that Mohamed missed training due to back injury, adding that the club would be willing to let him leave next summer but only with a better financial offer.
Meanwhile, Gomaa, who announced on Sunday that he had tested positive for coronavirus for the second time in almost a month, returned a negative result on Tuesday. Defender Mahmoud Alaa is still recovering from the highly-contagious virus.
Zamalek defeated Smouha 2-0 on Monday to move third in the Egyptian Premier League table with seven points from three games, two behind leaders and defending champions Ahly.
The White Knights' next match will be against Enppi on Saturday.
