Ahly's injured duo left back Ali Maaloul and winger Taher Mohamed Taher will rejoin the team's training sessions starting Thursday, the club announced on Sunday.
"Maaloul will join the trainings gradually starting from Thursday before participating normally in the group trainings after 48 hours," Ahly's doctor Ahmed Abou-Abla was qouted as saying by the club's official website.
"The player will be ready for matches after the Simba game," he added.
The Cairo giants arrived in Tanzania early Saturday to meet Simba S.C on Tuesday in the second round of the Group A games of the CAF Champions League.
Ahly missed the services of several key players, including defender Ayman Ashraf, left back Maaloul, striker Salah Mohsen and winger Taher Mohamed Taher, during the home 3-0 win over Sudan’s Al-Merrikh in the first round of the group stage games last week due to injuries.
Maaloul, Mohsen and Taher suffered different injuries after participating with Red Devils in the FIFA Club World Cup where the team claimed the bronze medal.
"Taher is in the last phase of his rehabilition program and he will be ready to join trainings also on Thursday," the Ahly doctor added.
Moreover, the doctor added, striker Marwan Mohsen will be available in Sunday's training after missing Saturday's session due to foot pains.
On Saturday, Ahly’s efficient defender Ayman Ashraf was cleared fit for the Simba game after recovering from muscluar injury.
African Champions League title holders Ahly are in the driving seat of Group A with three points, sharing the same points with group's opponents Simba who defeated Vita Club of DR Congo 1-0 away from home last week.
