Zamalek striker Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ has sent an official letter of complaint to the club's management asking for payment of LE4.7 million ($790,000) owed to him otherwise he will take the issue to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).
Egyptian clubs are facing a financial crisis due to the cancellation of all domestic football competitions after the Port Said disaster that left more than 70 dead and hundreds injured on 1 February.
The nomadic striker, who played for English sides West Ham United, Wigan Athletic, Middleborough and Tottenham Hotspur, has reportedly been linked with a move to the Premier League, but no details have yet been revealed.
