Zamalek recovered from conceding a first-half goal to win 2-1 at Talae El-Gaish in a league game on Thursday thanks to a late header from youth striker Ossama Faysal.

The 20-year-old came off the bench, five minutes from time, to score the winner with a nice header in injury time.

El-Gaish striker Amr Gamal stunned the hosts in the 28 th minute, while Zamalek's Tunisian striker Seif Jaziri leveled the score on the hour-mark.

Ossama Faysal scored the winner, helping his side earn a difficult win.

Zamalek are leading the league table with 51 points, ten points ahead of second-place Ahly who have four games in hand.

After a calm start, Amr Gamal skipped his marker to round Zamalek keeper Mohamed Awad before scoring easily in an empty net in the 28 th minute.

Nasser Mansi had the chance to double the lead for the visitors, two minutes before the break, but his close range effort was denied by the keeper.

Zamalek Tunisian striker Seif Jaziri could level the score one minute later when Achraf Bencharki cleared him with a nice pass but his shot was blocked by El-Gaish keeper Mohamed Bassam.

Just before the break, veteran fullback Mohamed Abdel-Shafi stole his marker inside the area but he failed to control the ball as his slow shot was easily collected by Bassam.

The second half saw a complete domination from Zamalek players as they squandered many goal chances but they failed to level the score.

Tunisian striker Seif Jaziri receives a nice pass from Eslam Gaber in the hour-mark to round his marker before sending a nice curling shot that went on the bottom of the net.

Jaziri's goal is the first for the international striker since joining Zamalek from Arab Contractors, last January.

Zamalek intensified their offense in order to score the winner and coach Patrice Carteron introduced youth duo Ossama Faysal and Seif Gaafar at the expense of Seif Jaziri and Hazem Emam respectively with five minutes remaining.

In injury time Faysal met a pinpoint cross from Ahmed Sayed with a nice header to score the winner.
