Ahly duo Walid Soliman and Mohamed ‘Afsha’ Magdy return to trainings ahead of their trip to Tunisia scheduled for Tuesday for the African Champions League semi-final against Esperance.
The Reds’ key player Afsha has recovered from an injury he had picked up during the African Super Cup game against Morocco’s Nahdat Berkane, which Ahly clinched with a 2-0 victory.
Veteran forward Soliman has joined the team trainings after recovering from a bruise in the foot, meanwhile full back Mohamed Hany continued his rehabilitation programme in order to fully recover from a muscle injury.
Ahly’s squad list for the Esperance game also witnessed the return of the Tunisian full back Ali Maaloul, who has been absent for a while due to injury.
Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane revealed his squad list for Saturday’s game against Esperance, which came as follows:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Shennawi, Ali Lotfi, Mostafa Shouber
Defenders: Mahmoud Wahid, Ahmed Ramadan, Ramy Rabea, Yasser Ibrahim, Ayman Ashraf, Badr Benoun, Saad Samir, Ali Maaloul.
Midfielders: Hamdi Fathy, Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim, Walid Soliman, Aliou Dieng, Hussein El-Shahat, Amr El-Solaya, Mohamed ‘Afsha’ Magdy, Naser Maher, Akram Tawfiq, Taher Mohamed, Junior Ajayi.
