Raja Casablanca winger Soufiane Rahimi has denied recent rumors linking him to a move to Cairo giants Ahly in the summer.

There have been media reports that the 25-year-old winger is at the top of Ahly's wish list and that they are in advanced talks.

The speculations were fueled by a report from a correspondent at On Time Sports on Sunday after Raja's game against Egypt’s Pyramids FC in the first leg of the Confederation Cup semi-final, where he claimed he had spoken to Rahimi who confirmed there were talks with Ahly.

The reporter added that Rahimi said he wishes to play at Ahly and "pray for me to be here with you."

Rahimi, however, dismissed this claim on his twitter account on Monday.

“I completely deny everything that has been credited to me after yesterday's match.

“I confirm that I did not speak to any journalist. I am a player for Raja Casablanca and I respect and value the precious shirt that I wear and the Rajawi fans for their support. I assure that all my focus is on the upcoming events,” he added.

Rahimi's tweet was followed by a statement from Raja denying all the rumors regarding the transfer of any of their players.

“Raja Club Athletic denies all the rumors about the transfers of one or more players or negotiations during our last trip to Cairo.”

Raja’s Congolese striker Ben Malango also denied to On Sport TV there have been any talks with Zamalek.

The Moroccan champions have conceded a scoreless draw in Cairo and they need to win at home on 27 June to advance to the final.
