Monday’s Egyptian Premier League game between Zamalek and Ghazl El-Mahalla has been postponed and rescheduled for 3 August, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced in a statement on Sunday.

Both teams were due to face off on Monday night at Cairo’s International Stadium in the 28th matchday of the domestic competition. The EFA did not disclose the reason behind the postponement.

Zamalek currently leads the league table with 61 points from 27 games, 19 points ahead of holders Ahly who still have seven games in hand.

Ghazl El-Mahalla lie in13th place with 32 points from 27 games.
