After the 1-1 draw with Ismaily and losing two points in the race for the Egyptian Premier League title, Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane asked the team’s supporters to wait until the end of the season to figure out which team will be crowned the champion.

With five matches remaining, Ahly are now second on the league table with 65 points, two points behind leaders Zamalek, who have 67 points.

“We played against Ismaily without pressure, using our style, but we lost two points in the end,” Mosimane said in the post game press conference.

“We have to focus on the coming games and believe in our chance to win the league title.”

“Football taught us that we have to wait until the last minute and see what will happen,” the South African coach said.

The Egyptian Premier League title holders, Ahly can’t afford to lose any more points in future games, and they will be waiting for their perennial Cairo rivals Zamalek to fumble in the coming days.

Ahly will face Enppi on Saturday, a few hours after rivals Zamalek are set to play against Ismaily in the 29th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League.
