Egyptian club ENPPI have reached an agreement with coach Tarek El-Ashri to take the charge of the team after the departure of Hossam El-Badry, according to state-run news agency MENA.

El-Badry left the Egypt Cup winners on Sunday to take over at Cairo giants Ahly for a second spell, succeeding Portuguese boss Manuel Jose.

El-Ashri recently resigned from his post as coach of Haras El-Hodoud for personal reasons after guiding the military club to two Egypt Cups and one Super Cup title during a highly-successful spell.

ENNPI were suffering at the wrong end of the Egyptian Premier League table before the Port Said disaster, which led to the cancellation of Egypt's premier domestic competition.
