Egypt's Ahly extend stay of indispensable midfielder El-Sulaya two more years

Ahly has extended veteran midfielder Amr El-Sulaya stay with the club for extra two seasons, the club announced on Monday.

"El-Sulaya, whose contract runs till the end of the next season, has signed a two-year extension after agreeing all the financial details to remain with the club for another three seasons," reads a statement on Ahly's official website.

The 32-year-old Egyptian international joined Ahly in 2016 from UAE's club Al-Shaab after spending several splendid years with the Egyptian side Ismaily, quickly securing a regular place as an indispensable player in the Red Divils squad.

El-Sulaya has scored 21 goals in 225 appearances with Ahly in different competitions since donning the red jersey.

He has claimed 12 trohies with Ahly, including five Egyptian league titles, two African Champions league trophies, two Egypt Cup titles, two Egypt Super Cup and one African Super Cup.

El-Sulaya made his international debut in 2010, making 29 appearances in different competitions with the Pharaohs so far.
