The 27-year-old player is expected to be the last signing for Pyramids FC before the new Egyptian Premier League season that will kick off on 25 October.
El-Karti started his professional football career with Wydad in the 2013 season, where he made 290 appearances with the team and claimed numerous accolades, including four Moroccan League titles, the 2017 CAF Champions League title, and 2018 CAF Super Cup.
The Moroccan star will be joining Pyramids FC’s training camps after finishing his national duty with The Atlas Lions in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers next week.
He has made 7 appearances with Wydad in the current season of the Moroccan league, scoring 3 goals and providing two assists.
Pyramids FC made several signings this summer to meet the demands of newly appointed coach Ihab Galal, as the team acquired Mahmoud Saber, Abdalla Magdi, Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, Hisham Mohamed, and Hussein El-Sayed.
The Egyptian high-paying team, Pyramids FC, will be competing in the Egyptian Premier League, the Egypt Cup, and the CAF Confederation Cup next season. They have to bag any of those trophies to justify the money spent on their newly signed players.
