Ismaily advanced early with Carmelo Algaranaz’s goal, before Ahmed Sayed Gharib scored the equalizer at the stoppage time of the second half.
The costal club scored the first goal in the 16th minute after Bolivian striker Algaranaz turned Mohamed El-Shamy’s cross to the goal with his head.

Hossam Hassan failed to score from the penalty spot as Ismaily’s goalie cleared the ball, but Gharib followed the ball to score the equaliser.
This is Ahly’s second tie in the newly initiated tournament, as they equalised with no goals against Gouna in the first round, while Ismaily reached the fourth point as they defeated Smouha in the first round.
The Reds will face Arab Contractors in the third round of the EFA Cup scheduled for next Friday.
