“The game will be played in difficult circumstances after a long trip following the Pyramids FC game,” Komsan was quoted as saying on Ahly’s official website on Thursday.

The Cairo giants moved two points clear on top of the table and with a game in hand after crushing Pyramids FC 3-0 in an exciting Egyptian Premier League clash at Cairo's Al-Salam Stadium on Tuesday.

“We have great confidence in our players and we believe that they are able to achieve a positive result on Saturday in spite of all the difficult circumstances surrounding the game.’’

“The small details are always the reason for winning trophies, so we are preparing our players well for the game and we already have ambitions to win the Champions League title for the third time in a row,” Ahly’s assistant coach said.

“No doubt that we are playing in a tough group as every team signed more talented players like Sudan’s Merreikh and Al-Hilal who changed their coaching management, but we will do our best to claim the title.”

Ahly, who opened their group-stage campaign with a 0-0 away draw to Sudan's Al-Hilal before suffering a surprise 1-0 home loss to South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, moved level with Al-Merreikh with four points.

Sundowns top Group A with seven points while Al-Hilal lie at the bottom with a solitary point. Ahly is scheduled to meet the Sundowns away from home next weekend, while Al-Hilal will host Al-Merrekh in Omdurman.
