The Reds, who qualified second from their group, have met Raja in the CAF Champions League six times, all of which were during the group stage, with Ahly winning one match, drawing in three, and conceding two.
The last encounter between the two teams was in the latest edition of the African Super Cup, which was held last December and concluded with Ahly defeating Raja 7-6 on penalties.
According to the quarterfinals draw, Algeria’s ES Setif is expected to face Tunisia’s Esperance, Algeria’s CR Belouizdad is set to meet Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca, and Angola’s Petro Atletico is scheduled to clash with South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.
In the event Ahly defeat Raja, they will be facing the winner of the Setif and Esperance match in the semi-final.
