Pyramids FC lost 2-0 to Moroccan side RS Berkane in the second leg of the competition’s quarters to exit the competition.

The RS Berkane loss marked the last game for the team’s coach Ehab Galal, who will take charge of the Egyptian national team by the start of next month.

The Greek Gonias had a previous experience with the high-spending club, as he spent three months as the team’s coach last season before being sacked in September 2021.

Under his guidance the club played 12 games, claiming five victories, six draws and one loss.

The 51-year-old spent two years at Egyptian league side Wadi Degla starting 2018, before being sacked in February 2020 following a string of disappointing results.
