The 2020/21 season of Egypt’s secondary club competition did not reach its conclusion, pausing after the round of 16 due to the pandemic and busy schedules.
According to a statement by the EFA, the yet-to-be-played semi-final game between Zamalek and Aswan has been rescheduled to 23 May, while the quarterfinal match between Ahly and Pyramids FC will be played on 26 June.
The winner between holders Ahly and Pyramids FC will be facing Petrojet in the semis.
Ahly won the last edition of the Egyptian Cup (2019/20) after beating Talae El-Gaish on penalties in the final.
Regarding the current 2021/22 season, the EFA announced that the quarterfinals games will be played on 12 June with Ahly set to face Salloum’s Masry, while Mansoura will take on Masry of Port Said. A day later, Dakhlya will be hosting Zamalek in the same round.
