The EPL said in a statement that it had made a recommendation to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to ban any club from hiring a coach who had already managed another top-flight club in the same season.
"This recommendation comes to ration the process of changing coaches between clubs," the statement read.
Earlier this week, three managers left their respective Premier League sides, who swiftly appointed their successors.
Smouha's promising coach Ahmed Sami left to take charge of Ceramica Cleopatra, whose own manager Haitham Shaaban departed by mutual consent.
Abdel-Hamid Bassiouni also left Ghazl El-Mahalla to take over Alexandria-based club Smouha, incensing the former club who felt betrayed by the ex-Egypt striker.
"Smouha's officials went too far and held a meeting with Bassiouni when we were in Alexandria to face Ittihad … even though Bassiouni was supposed to be committed to his job," Mahalla said in a statement.
The EFA, which has the authority to change regulations, has not yet commented on the EPL's proposal.
