“We played a good game, but ES Setif is a good team that dominated football in many times of the match,” the South African coach Mosimane said in the press conference after the game.

The Red Devils progressed to the prestigious tournament final with a 6-2 aggregate win after a large 4-0 home win last week.

“We didn’t rely only on the first leg result as we came here also to secure a positive result. We have the experiences of playing in and that helped us a lot in today’s game,” added Mosimane.

“Algerian fans delivered a great lesson today in accepting loss and greeting our players. They also saluted their team players despite the elimination from the semis,” he concluded.

Ahly will face Wydad of Morocco in the final on 30 May amid a dispute over the venue which was handed to Morocco by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) earlier this week.
