The Egyptian Premier League leaders Zamalek are hoping to start a new winning streak on Tuesday against Talae El-Gaish after suffering a setback against Enppi last week.

The league leaders had an unbeaten eight-game run before losing to Enppi 2-0, and they hope to avenge their latest defeat in the Premier League Cup early in January.

Zamalek, who are now competing only in domestic competitions, aim to extend their lead, as Ahly have several games in hand due to their participation in the African Champions League.

Meanwhile, the mid-tabled Talae El-Gaish, who are now in ninth place with 23 points, are expected to play a tough game as usual against the Whites.

Coach Jesualdo Ferreira will welcome back midfielder Emam Ashour, after having served an automatic ban, while veteran midfielder Tarek Hamed is suspended from this game after collecting three yellow cards cumulatively in the league.

Also, team skipper Mahmoud ‘Shikabala’ Abdel-Razek is still out due to injury.
