The 28-year-old Moroccan appeared on Ahly’s training pitch and had a session in the gym as part of his rehabilitation program in preparation for joining the regular training with his teammates.
Benoun suffered from myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart, in a complication of due to COVID-19 just before the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Cameroon in January of this year.
The ailment prevented the Moroccan international from participating in the AFCON with his national team.
Ahly’s doctor Ahmed Abo Abla revealed last week that Benoun has fully recovered from the inflammation and underwent a heart examination for three days in Morocco, and the results were “very good.”
Abo Abla added that Badr has been undergoing gradual physical training during his stay at Morocco under the supervision of his national team doctor.
