The draw of the round of 16 of the 2021/22 season of Egypt’s secondary club competition was held on Saturday at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).

Zamalek reached the round of 16 after beating Dakhlya 2-1 in the previous round, while Ahly reached the same round after defeating El-Masry of Saloum 1-0.

Meanwhile, Ahly will be facing Pyramids FC on Sunday in the quarter final of the 2020/21 Egypt Cup that has been dragged out due to the pandemic.

Petrojet will then be waiting to face the winner of the quarters in the semi-final.

Zamalek has already secured a place in the final that will be played on 21 July.

Ahly won the last edition of the Egyptian Cup (2019/20) after beating Talae El-Gaish on penalties in the final.
