Head of the club’s medical staff Ahmed Abu Abla told the club’s website that Tunisian full back Ali Maaloul, midfielder Hamdi Fathi, winger Hussein El-Shahat, defenders Ayman Ashraf and Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, and goalie Ali Lotfi are cleared for action after completing today’s training session.

However, he revealed that forward Ahmed Abdel-Kader will have to continue his treatment programme after suffering from an anterior muscle strain. He also announced that the team will have to do without left back Mahmoud Wahid for the next two to three weeks after picking up an injury in the groin muscle during Sunday’s game against Pyramids FC.

South Africa’s Percy Tau has also been ruled out for over a month due to a thigh injury.

The Red Devils, who are third on the Egyptian Premier League’s table with 44 points, will face fifth-placed Smouha on Wednesday in an attempt to close the gap between them and archrivals Zamalek, who are in the lead.
