Ismaily boost frontline by signing Ghana League top scorer Annor

The Ismaily management announced on Thursday it has signed Ghana League top scorer Yaw Annor for five years. Annor comes from Ashanti Gold of Ghana.

The Dervishes are suffering in the relegation zone of the Egyptian Premier League, being in the 15th place with 20 points after claiming four victories in 22 games so far this season.

The 24-year-old played 30 games so far this season with Ashanti Gold, scoring 22 goals, and he is one of the best players in the Ghanian League, according to Ismaily’s statement.

“He won the Ghana League top scorer and best player titles,” Ismaily added. 

Annor started his football career with Ghanian side Bechem United before joining Fuenlabrada of Spain in 2017.

He rejoined Bechem United in January 2020 then signed a deal with Ashanti Gold in the summer transfer window of the same season.

The Ghanian player didn’t wear the Black Stars national team jersey.
