El-Badry told local media that he has taken charge of one of the biggest teams in Algeria and he will do his best to make the fans satisfied and happy.
“Of course my ambition is to win titles with Setif on both levels domestically and continentally,” El-Badry told Filgoal.
“ES Setif is a big name, and reaching the final rounds in the African Champions League last season was the main reason that encouraged me to accept the offer,” he explained to Al-Nahar Algerian TV channel.
The 62-year-old coach has won seven titles in his coaching career; all of them were with Ahly. His most outstanding achievement was winning the African Champions League in 2011/2012.
Setif was eliminated from last season’s African Champions League after losing to Ahly 6-2 on aggregate in the semifinal, and they have finished the league in seventh place.
The Algerian side didn’t win the league since 2017, and their last Algerian cup title was in 2012.
