After the departure of Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki, the Whites started to look for a replacement, with coach Jesualdo Ferreira selecting Ndiaye.
It was reported that Zamalek were searching for a winger who scores a lot of goals. They initially started with a list of 10 players, which was shortened to three, before the Senegalese forward was finally selected because he is only 24-years-old and has played in Egypt before.
Ndiaye played in Egypt for the first time when he joined Wadi Degla in the summer of 2016, and then he was loaned to the Greek side Ergotelis in August 2017 for six months, to return back and spend more six months with Wadi Degla before being sold to FC Luzern in August 2019.
Zamalek are expected to announce signing Ibrahima Ndiaye for three seasons after their Tuesday match against Ittihad of Alexandria in the 32nd round of the Egyptian Premier League, and in case of winning the Whites will be crowned as the league champions for the second season in row.
