The Cairo giants held to a 0-0 draw with the coastal club whose fans were spotted attacking a bus of Ahly supporters before the game that was hosted by Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab Stadium.
“Ismaily will play behind closed doors till the end of the season as we are waiting for the results of the ongoing investigations to announce other sanctions,” the Premier League tweeted early on Wednesday.
Ahly currently lie third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 64 points from 31 games, 12 points behind already crowned Zamalek with three matches to spare.
Meanwhile, Ismaily comes at the ninth place with 37 points from 31 matches.
