Eastern Company were relegated to the second division after one season in the Egyptian Premier League after conceding two late goals in a heart-breaking 3-2 loss to NBE Club on Saturday.

Saber El-Sheemi put Eastern Company ahead after three minutes but Ghanaian full-back Issahaku Yakubu brought NBE Club level just two minutes later.

Palestinian defender Mohamed Saleh restored Eastern Company's advantage after converting a 51st minute penalty but Mohamed Dabash equalised again with five minutes remaining.

Guinean winger Moussa Diawara had the last word when he struck in stoppage time to send Eastern Company back to the second division.

They join bottom side Maqassa, who were relegated earlier this month for the first time since sealing promotion in 2010 after suffering a 5-0 loss by eventual league champions Zamalek.

Three teams will be involved in a final-round battle to avoid being the third team to wave goodbye to the Premier League.

Arab Contractors and Ghazl El-Mahalla are level on 35 points, two ahead of Gouna who need to win their final game against runners-up Pyramids and hope one of their two challengers lose if they are to stay in the top flight.
