The French side has been in talks with the 26-year-old winger over the past few weeks according to French website l'Equipe.

Zizo, who finished as the Egyptian Premier League top scorer with 19 goals, is under contract with the White Knights until 2024. However he has a release clause in his contract estimated at €2m.

According to the report, the transfer fee isn't an issue but negotiations are faltering due to the salary of the Egyptian international.

French website 10sport has reported that coach Antoine Kombouare is not putting Zizo as a priority due to his wage's demands despite his quest to increase his attacking options.

They have already completed the signing of Lens striker Ignatius Ganago on Thursday and hope to concluder further deals before the closure of the transfer window.

Zizo also reportedly has an offer from Qatari side SC Rayyan estimated at $5m, after his outstanding performance in the recently finished season where he helped Zamalek to clinch the second Egyptian Premier League title in row in addition to winning the 2021 Egypt Cup.

The in-form winger has been in the peak of his carrer since joining Zamalek in January 2019 as he contributed to 33 goals this season (19 goals and 14 assists).
